Keele University, Smart Innovation Hub

xsign worked with contractor, Bouygues UK on the signage project at the Smart Innovation Hub at Keele University. The near 5-metre illuminated reception sign presented a specific fabrication challenge, requiring a structure that could be installed cleanly within the architectural envelope of the reception space while delivering the halo illumination effect at a scale that felt proportionate to the room. The external stainless steel lettering, hand-finished to a 240 grit brushed finish, was specified to complement the quality of the building’s facade rather than simply identify it.

Internally, we have provided a near 5m wide illuminated Reception sign with profile cut lettering and light diffuser for halo illumination. We’ve also provided 3mm Frosted Lucite lift directory signs on our patented Jigsaw fitting system, door signs and privacy manifestation to glass offices.

Externally, we’ve manufactured brushed stainless steel cut letters and logos, dress welded, hand- finished and hand-brushed to a 240 grit finish. Learn more here about University Signs.
